This collaboration began long before Quarter 3 began. During exam week, Val and I met and discussed the various approaches to teaching the class, and the ways that I had added new media elements and 21st century learning approaches into my instruction. I provided her digital copies of my course, unit and lesson plans, along with all the supplementary resources I had developed for teaching the class.
As the course progressed, I joined Val for a co-teaching week, and created additional projects to accentuate the projects the students were working on. Throughout Quarter 3, Val and I stayed in close contact, and the English students
would often come to the New Media lab for supplementary tech resources (cameras etc.) when working on projects. This co-teaching approach provided a positive atmosphere for students, along with a positive, collaborative experience for both Val and myself. I would definitely do this again!
